Great job at evaluations! The coaches are truly excited about the upcoming spring season.
After careful consideration, we have aligned the teams for both 12U and 14U. Note that the coaching staff took many factors into consideration, including individual lacrosse skills, lacrosse IQ, overall athleticism, and the mental game (attitude and effort) to make what we think will put your daughters in the best position for success next year.
Please note that we intentionally took a smaller roster on the Blue team, as the talent at this age bracket right now is pretty deep. During the first week of practices in January, the coaches/evaluators are going to continue assessing with the expectation of pulling 1-2 girls from the Gold team to the Blue team. We thought deep about this and believe that it is the best option to put together the best team we can to compete against the Bay Area A teams, while giving the players time between now mid-January to continue to hone in on their skills and lacrosse IQ. While we know it’s not ideal, we think the extra time for players to prep and coaches to evaluate will lead to a better decision that aligns the player with the team that will suit them best.
